Three men assaulted a 37-year-old man in the 5000 block of North Kenmore Avenue just before midnight on Monday, police said.

According to a police report, the man was walking down Kenmore at 11:46 when three men approached and asked for money. When he refused, the men charged him.

The man hit one attackers in the mouth and fled. The three men followed him, eventually catching up and hitting him in the shoulder with a brick, the report said.

The man ran to a McDonald's where he called police, and the offenders fled on foot. The man refused medical assistance, the report said.
