Gang activity was the top concern for residents who attended the most recent community policing meeting in Chicago's 14th district.
Violence between rival Cobra and Imperial Gangsters gang members was a particular source of worry for 10 residents who attended the meeting on Monday.
Sgt. Clifford Morland, who led the meeting, stressed the importance of calling 911 to report suspicious activity.
Beth
Lacey, and Julia Saladino said they attended the meeting to get to know the officers patrolling their neighborhood.
"It's nice to hear them say
they'll check out the problems," Saladino said.
The next CAPS meeting for District 14 is scheduled for 7 p.m., Dec. 3 at 2324 N. Kimball.
