Career Builder, owned in part by Tribune Co. as well as Microsoft, Gannett Co. and McClatchy Co., is set to receive $2.9 million in TIF financing to keep its headquarters in Chicago. The Chicago Tribune report says the money will be used to offset the $11.6 million the company will spend to rehab and use 150,000 sf of space at 200 N LaSalle St. The report says Chicago Development Commission proposal projects Career Builder will employ 800 people at the headquarters, up from 615 spread across three local offices now.
