The CTA will suspend Yellow Line service between the Skokie and Howard stations on Sunday to conduct grade crossing repairs and track maintenance work, officials say.
Riders should take the #97 Skokie bus in lieu of the Yellow Line on Sunday to reach the Howard and Skokie stations.
Chicago Transit Authority officials say it will provide additional buses on the #97 route to accommodate passengers. Normal service will resume on Monday.
In addition, rail service between the Jefferson Park, Harlem and Cumberland Blue Line stations will be temporarily suspended from 9 p.m. Friday night through 3 a.m. Monday to replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes.
Bus shuttles will operate as a substitute for rail service between the Jefferson Park, Harlem and Cumberland stations, CTA officials say.
