Cook County Health and Hospitals System CEO William Foley today announced the dates of six town hall meetings to get public insight to assist the health system board in composing its strategic plan.

The meetings will begin in late July, and will take place at locations throughout the county.

The health system board will ask health agencies, community- and faith-based organizations for their input. It also plans to engage the homeless, immigrants, substance abusers, the mentally ill, recently uninsured and ex-offenders to weigh in how the health system should move forward.

“We really want to engage…the other health care organizations and agencies,” Foley said in the health system board meeting this morning. “I would err on the side of over-engaging.”

Board members will host another series of meetings following a first draft of the strategic plan.

The initial set of town hall meetings are below. Some dates and times are to be determined.

  • July 27: South Suburban College,15800 S. State St.,South Holland
