Emanuel: West Side to get 5 farmers markets

Five West Side Chicago neighborhoods will get new farmers markets starting this summer.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel yesterday announced the city is bringing farmers markets to five new neighborhoods that have few grocery stores.

In addition to fresh food, the markets will feature a variety of services, including a nutritionist and cooking demonstrations, says Fox Chicago.

The locations are: 4941 W. Chicago, Harrison and Central, Hirsch and Laramie, Lake and Central and 3555 W. Huron.
