Activists demonstrating against the planned closure of four South Side mental health centers have won a meeting with a top aide to Mayor Richard M. Daley.

The activists staged a protest outside City Hall this afternoon in an effort to stave off the closings, which are scheduled to take effect tomorrow.

We'll keep you posted on what comes out of their meeting with the mayor's chief of staff.
