7-year-old girl missing from South Side

UPDATE, 12:27 p.m.: Police report the girl was found unharmed at home.


Police are searching for a 7-year-old South Side girl who disappeared after leaving school yesterday afternoon.

The girl, Da'Shae Dorsey, was last seen in the 5300 block of South Justine Street about 4:00 p.m. walking home from Libby Elementary School with a classmate, police said.

Da'Shae, a 4 feet tall, 60-pound African American, was wearing a white blouse and navy blue pants. Anyone with information is urged to call Detective L. Mahaffey of the Chicago Police Department Special Victims Unit at (312) 747-8385.
