Jewelry valued at $20,000 was taken from a man's home on the 4900 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue Tuesday.
The victim left for work at 11:30 a.m. and
returned around 7:00 p.m. to find his bedroom window open and the
screen removed, police said. He then noticed his safe-box missing.
The box contained personal documents as well as the jewelry. Nothing else was taken from the man's home.
