Armed robbers make off with phone

A man was robbed by a gun-toting bandit Tuesday afternoon in the 4100 block of West Irving, police said.

Two men approached the victim, and one of them opened his coat,  displayed a revolver and demanded money,  police records said.

The robbers fled with $77, a cell phone valued at $200, a silver chain with a cross and watch valued at $150.

The victim described the gunman as white, in his mid 30s, 5'10 and weighing 180 pounds, police said. The gunman's accomplice was described as white, about 40 years old, 6'1 and weighing 200 pounds, police said.
