Southbound Red Line trains will not stop at the Berwyn station beginning tonight at 11 p.m. through 4 a.m. Saturday due to station renovation work, Chicago Transit Authority officials say.

Southbound Red Line riders who want to exit at Berwyn should instead travel to Argyle and board a northbound train to Berwyn.

Customers at Berwyn who want to travel southbound should board a northbound train and exit at Bryn Mawr to access a southbound train, officials say.

Northbound service is not affected, officials say. In addition, buses will replace rail service between the Jefferson Park and Harlem Blue Line stations from 9 p.m. tonight through 3 a.m.

Monday morning in order to replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes. The CTA advises customers to allow extra travel time.
