An unidentified man robbed a Chase Bank at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

The man entered the bank at 3277 W. Addison St. at 3:10 p.m. and waited in a teller line until it was his turn to approach the counter. He then pointed a steel handgun at a teller and demanded all of the $50 and $100 dollar bills without dye packs, a police report says. After the teller handed him the money, he demanded the $20 bills as well.

The gunman fled the bank with $5,870, according to the report.

The robber was described as a black man in his 20s or 30s with a scarred lip and wearing dark clothes.
