Police today said they have few leads in the slaying of a 23-year-old man whose body was found in his Jefferson Park apartment.

Tomasz Rogalski of 4650 N. Milwaukee Ave. was shot multiple times, police said. His father found his body yesterday afternoon.

With no motive for the killing readily apparent, a Chicago Police detective pointed to the fact that the Rogalski's car, a dark blue Saturn four-door, was missing.

"We're assuming it was taken," said Detective Vince Viverito.  He stressed that it was an assumption and may have nothing to do with the case.

Little is known about the victim. Detectives spent part of today at the crime scene, and interviewing nearby residents about the victim.

"He was always by himself," said Viverito, recounting information provided by neighbors .  "He might walk to the store to buy a six-pack of beer."

But the shooting, which occurred in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon, attracted no one's attention, police said.
