A 78-year-old cabdriver, believed to be suffering from an unknown medical condition, lost control of his cab early today, struck several parked cars and was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly afterward, police said.
The driver, who was not carrying any passengers at the time, was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital and pronounced dead at 6:02 a.m., police spokesman Marcel Bright said.
No one else was injured in the accident, which occurred while the cab was traveling northbound in the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Bright said.
