Police are looking for a man who robbed an elderly woman of her purse Sunday morning in the 5600 block of North Lincoln Avenue.

The 73-year-old woman was on her way to Walgreen's when a thief came up behind her and snatched her purse, which contained more than $1,000 in cash, police said.

The victim, whose leopard-print purse also contained $40 in gift cards, was unable to provide police with a description of the man.
