Robbers pushed their way into a hotel office and made off with more than $1,000 in cash Saturday, police said.

A 25-year-old woman working at the Aragon Arms Hotel at 4911 N. Kenmore told police that one of the men motioned as if he had a gun in his pocket before demanding the money from her purse.

The two men then forced the woman into a back room where she turned over four envelopes containing cash.

The incident occurred at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday after the men approached the woman asking her about room rates.

In all, police say the men took $1,123 before fleeing.
