Man answered door, greeted with gunfire

A 25 year-old man was shot Saturday morning at 6600 N. Ashland Avenue in Rogers Park.

According to police, the victim answered the door at 11:15 a.m. and was shot several times.

Three men were seen running through the alley after the shooting. They may have gotten into a burgundy colored car.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Illinois Masonic hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery. His current condition is not known.

Area 3 detectives are investigating the incident.
