One dead in S. Side shooting

An 18-year-old man died after he was shot in the back last night in the Morgan Park neighborhood, police said.

Bystanders who heard gunshots in the area of West 110th Street and South Racine Avenue about 6:30 p.m. flagged down police officers, according to a department spokesman.

The victim, James Bush, was taken Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Area 2 detectives are investigating the incident but have made no arrests. The shooting may have been gang related, said the department spokesman.
