Park District offers Eco-Camps for kids

The Chicago Park District is offering day-camps to kids this summer that will teach them how to connect with nature in an urban area at Humboldt Park, 1359 N. Sacramento.

The Eco Explorers program is offering both kids and family the chance to participate in games and activities related to the environment.

Campers will get to experience nature walks, kayaking and will be able to go fishing.

The Eco-Camp for families and kids ages of 5 through 12 will first meet July 13-17 and with a second session Aug. 3-7, both from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.

The second camp is available to kids ages six through 12. The first session begins Aug. 10-11 and the second session is Aug. 12-13 both from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
