Portage Park fire displaces two

A fire on the first floor of a Portage Park building displaced two people this morning.

The blaze broke out at 9:22 a.m. at 4500 N. Menard Avenue, according to Fire Department spokesman Richard Rosado.

The building was occupied but no one was injured, Rosado said.

Firefighters controlled the flames by 9:50 a.m. The fire's cause is under investigation, said Rosado.
