The Fire Department said two elderly residents of the building at 7250 N. Western were treated for smoke inhalation during the incident, which began at 9:50 p.m.  Neither resident was taken to the hospital, according to District Chief Gregory Lewis.

Firefighers easily extinguished a small blaze at the rear of the building. They spent about an hour clearing smoke from the building, Lewis said.
