A 22-year-old South Side man was charged with five counts of first-degree murder yesterday in connection with a home invasion robbery last month in which five people were shot to death.

Torolan Williams, 22, of the 11600 block of South Artesian Ave., was also charged with one count of home invasion and five counts of armed robbery, according to Chicago Police.

The victims, Lakesha Doss, 17, Whitney Flowers, 22, Reginald Walker, 23, Donovan Richardson, 24 and Anthony Scales, 26, were gathered at a residence in the 7600 block of South Rhodes on April 23, when the shootings occurred.

Williams was arrested Monday by Chicago Police acting on a tip from an acquaintance of Williams'. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow for a bond hearing.

Police are still seeking other individuals in connection with the killings, according to Stan Salabura, of the Chicago Police homicide division.
