Police are investigating a shooting in the 4500 block of South Troy that left one male wounded.
Officers responding to a reported aggravated battery at 3:15 p.m. today found a male, in his early 20's, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to officer Tom Polick, a department spokesman.
The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and later transported to Stroger Hospital; He is currently in stable condition. The incident is currently under investigation.
