Two men assaulted in parking lot

Two men were beaten in a parking lot at 7301 N. Sheridan late Saturday night.

One of the victims, a 44-year-old man, told police he heard noise and the front door of his home. He and the second victim, a 17-year-old boy, chased the men into the barking lot.

The 17-year-old saw one of the men with an object, possibly a tire iron, police said.

In the parking lot, both victims were beaten by the attackers, who fled in a maroon SUV.

The 17-year-old victim bled severely from a head wound and also sustained other injuries, police said. Both victims were treated at the scene, and neither was transported to the hospital.

No arrests were made.
