Two men die in separate shootings

Police are investigating the killings of two men shot  to death Saturday in separate incidents less than two miles apart.

A man walking in the 3800 block of West Thomas Street stumbled across the body of William Olivares around 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Chicago Police Spokeswoman Laura Kubiak said.

Olivares, 29, of the 2500 block of North Linden Place, was dead with a gunshot wound to the chest, Kubiak said.

Saturday evening,  police responded to reports of shots fired in the 1200 block of North LeClaire Avenue, Kubiak said.

Roy Watson, 47, of the 5000 block of West Crystal Street, was brought to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at 9:45 p.m.

Kubiak said police have no suspects in either shooting.
