A woman walking along North Sacramento Wednesday was attacked and robbed by a man who pulled up alongside her in a minivan, police said.

The robber, who exited a black Chevrolet minivan, hit the woman in the face and demanded her purse.

He then jumped back into the van and sped away with an unknown accomplice, police said.
