An unknown offender stole $40 worth of quarters from a wheelchair-bound 55-year-old woman last night, police said.

According to a police report, the woman was sitting outside her apartment in the 1000 block of West Lawrence Avenue shortly after 11:00 p.m. when someone reached into her bag and stole four rolls of quarters valued at ten dollars each. The bag was hanging on the back of her wheelchair.

No arrests have been made.
