The death of a Gold Coast woman whose body was found in Lake Michigan last month has been ruled an accident, police said.

The body of Robyn Bercovici, 27, of 63 E. Scott Street, was found Jan. 19 near Fullerton Park in the 2400 block of North Lakeshore Drive.

An autopsy revealed Bercovici drowned.

Chicago Police spokesman Tom Pollick said Tuesday that police have determined, after interviewing friends and family members, that Bercovici's death was accidental.

Pollick said Bercovici jogged near that stretch of the lake frequently and is believed to have slipped on the icy rocks and fallen into the lake.
