His Girl Friday
The Chicago Outdoor Film Festival kicks off its 2007 season with His Girl Friday, a fast-paced screwball comedy starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. A Chicago newspaper editor (Grant) convinces his ex-wife (Russell), who also happens to be a star reporter, to cover one last story. Does he have an ulterior motive? The dialog couldn't be quicker in this 1940 hit directed by Howard Hawks. Showing at Butler Field in Grant Park, at the corner of Lake Shore Drive and Monroe, just before 9:00 p.m. Free admission.
