Pace Plan of Action re Paratransit Programs

PACE PLAN OF ACTION

As of September 2007, Pace Regional ADA paratransit program runs out of money if there is no new funding. Without funding it will be necessary for Pace to take the following actions:

  • ADA Paratransit Fare increases September 1st from $2.25 to $4.00 in the City of Chicago and from $3.00 to $ 4.00 in the suburbs.
     

  • Starting September 1, 2007 TAX fares increase from $5.00 to $6.75.

  • Starting September 1, 2007 Pace will no longer accept ADA Monthly Passes and CTA One Ride Tickets

 Any person wishing to comment on proposed fare increase and elimination of service may present views orally at the public hearings or by submitting written material on or before the last date of the hearings which is July 26, 2007. Written comments may be submitted to Pace, Government Affairs, 550 West Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 or to our website, www.pacebus.com under Public Hearing Comments
