When we first heard of the Chicago-based band Sexfist, we dialed up their website expecting pictures of spandex and 80s hair. We imagined the tracks would consist of some dude named Guido from Jersey City yelling as his twin brother engaged in overindulgent guitar wanking.

Not so much. SexFist is a bluegrass band. But don't let the duelling Appalachian banjos turn you off. These guys write some good songs, and they rock -- albeit in their own odd way.
