The number of blogs and web sites devoted to chronicling the Sam Zell administration of the Tribune Company grows each month. TellZell, the Tribune Two-Step and Save the Tribune are all interesting reading. The last one is Andy Martin's. Do you remember Andy Martin? He was the self-styled corporate gadfly who made noise during the final public meetings that approved Zell's takeover of the Tribune Co.
Martin has been gaining traction with his newest campaign to rescue the Tribune Co. from Zell, including attempts to deliver office supplies and lunch to the Chicago Tribune. Simply, Martin's actions are brilliant. They are simple and they have the appeal of being humorous too.
Any story about Martin, however, should note to readers not just Martin's description of himself as a performance artist, but also his history of Anti-Semitic behavior and his role in creating the "Obama is a Muslim" rumor. That said, Andy, could you stop by my desk? I need Post-its. Thanks.
