Ken Reich, blogger behind "Take Back the Times" dead at 70

Ken Reich, 70, the blogger behind Take Back the Times has died. Reich, a former staffer at the Los Angeles Times, was unapologetic in what I've characterized as the Tribune's Civil War. TellZell, another anti-Zell blog, says it learned of Reich's death early this morning. LA Observed confirms Reich's death in a posting here. A posting on Reich's site, attributed to his daughter Kathy, says her father's death is "all too raw for me. But I encourage people to leave their own thoughts and reminiscences on this blog. Dad would have loved that, and my brother David and I will take great comfort in reading your notes."

Reich's most recent projects included preparing a brief bio of each LAT editorial staffer who recently left the paper.
