The New York Observer reports that Newsday employees that accepted the voluntary separation offered recently were invited to a meeting Tuesday to meet former Newsday staffers. The meeting "showcases careers you can enter after journalism," the report by John Koblin says.
The memo to staff, reprinted in the Observer column, invites staffers to meet former staffers who talk about transferable skills and the careers people found after leaving the company.
