Is Your Church Out of Order?
We've all seen the sign "OUT OF ORDER". Whether we noticed it posted to a vending machine when we were hoping for a quick snack, or frowned when we saw it slapped on the door of the restroom when we really needed to go, we have seen the sign enough to know that whatever is on the other side has been rendered inoperable. Very often to our disappointment, this sign usually informs us about something that is no longer able to serve its intended purpose. If we were honest, we would admit that our Churches are not serving their highest purpose. The symptoms may be differentloss of momentum, decrease in giving, lack of follow-through on projects or lack of membership growthbut the problem is the same: something in our church is not in God's perfect order, and as a result our ministry has yet to reach its full potential.
