This exhibit opens on May 16 and will run indefitely. Join us for the opening of this special exhibition of photos, documents, artifacts, and memorabilia brought to Chicago by Black migrants. The opening ceremony will include guest speaker –Professor Christopher Reed and Special Guest – Simba Tayari, Swahili Institute will provide libations and drumming. Refreshments served. Co-Sponsored by the Bronzeville/ Black Chicagoan Historical Society, the International Society of Sons and Daughters of Slave Ancestry, the Pullman State Historic Site and the Swahili Institute.
