The driver of a Hyundai Sonata lost control and slammed into the side of a brick church on the city's South Side, killing the driver and a front-seat passenger.
The accident, which occurred over 59th street between Prairie and Calumet, sent two of the train's four cars off the rails. Two dozen passengers were on board.

A three-car accident at the intersection of Clark Street and Balmoral Avenue flipped a sport utility vehicle and sent five people to the hospital Wednesday.
A CTA bus traveling along Ashland Avenue struck and killed a 52-year-old woman this morning. The circumstances surrounding the accident have not yet been released. Buses were briefly rerouted after the incident.
