I launched ChiTownDailyNews.org in late 2005 after years of working for newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune and Miami Herald.

My goal was to create a news organization focused intensely on Chicago - one that provides city residents with opportunities to report on and read the stories that affect their neighborhoods most.

As editor, I'm responsible for working with our volunteer neighborhood reporters to help them create great local coverage.

I'm also responsible for most of the site development, so I do a lot of Ruby on Rails coding.

In my (scare) spare time, I play guitar in a punk rock band called the Debauchers, and hang out with my girlfriend and our enormous dog, Leo.
